Warranties- Debunking the Myths

There’s a misconception about warranties we would like to address…
Truth: You are NOT REQUIRED to use a dealership to keep your car warranty in effect. An independent mechanic, retail chain shop, or even you yourself can do routine maintenance and repairs on your vehicle. In fact, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which is enforced by the FTC, makes it illegal for manufacturers or dealers to claim that your warranty is void or to deny coverage under your warranty simply because someone other than the dealer did the work. The manufacturer or dealer can, however, require consumers to use select repair facilities if the repair services are provided to consumers free of charge under the warranty.
Truth is, we’ve been performing scheduled maintenance work on BMW and Mercedes cars for over three decades, including regularly scheduled maintenance and major repairs–each and every service we have provided to customers has been honored by manufacturers. Our hard-earned credentials, adherence to warranty requirements, and use of top quality parts all allow us to deliver results, not only in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, but far beyond typical dealer service department quality. That’s service you can expect from “Houston’s Premier European Car Repair Specialists”.
